One week from tommorrow....I'll be on a plane to Las Vegas for the Art and Soul Retreat..Yippee!!
I'll be part of the "vendor show" on Saturday night, then it's classes for the next three days, then whew! - a little museum "shopping" with Vickie (it's her birthday), so much fun and creativity abounds.
I'm not really a Vegas girl (so to speak), but I'm always up for paint, paper, glue and solder..so BRING IT ON! I've had a stressful couple of weeks and I'm looking forward to a little "plane book-reading" time and fun with Vic!
who knows...maybe I'll win a jack-pot on the quarter machines!

- I've been married to Chet for 26 years...we have two children together and Chet came into our marriage with two children! (all together, we have 2 girls and 2 boys!) 31, 29, 23 and 21 years old. Yikes! I can't believe I am old enough to have kids those ages! I was born in Louisiana where my Grandparents were cotton sharecroppers and I'm very proud of my cajun heritage. The photo above is my mother, Georgiana Smith Linde at 8 years old. She passed away when I was very young, but she carries on in my heart forever... My hubby supports my endless rabbit trails of creativity and he gets extra "points" for that! Thank you for visiting my swirly glittered- up world filled with paint, glass & ribbon...share the love...leave a comment! Email me! I'd love to hear from you! sharifrench@gmail.com

Hi Shari! I hope you have a WONDERFUL time! Woo hoo! I'm sorry life has been stressful. I think we ALL need some sun! Love you!
Hi Shari-
I hope you'll let me know all about it! I know you & Vickie will have fun ~ I want to hear all about the classes, and of course all about the winnings, too! Good luck! Debbie (the "3rd sister"!) :)
Shari, have enjoyed 'catching up' with you on your blog. You know, I was at one of the very first Art and Soul shows in Portland. I got the very last or second to last table available in the outside area! They offered it to me at a discount for $35! Hmmm that would have been 6 years ago. By the third year, table rental was up to $350! Ouch!! One April my husband and I went to Vegas for a rubberstamp/craft show (I can't think of the official name for it now). I was pretty green at retail display at that time -- met Tim Holtz and Beth Cote (both came by to buy original French postcards from me). One lady walked away in a huff --she just couldn't believe that my cards were authentic, 105 year old postcards from France. My husband showed her the stamps, the written messages, etc. and she still thought we were pulling her leg, I guess!ha! I've thought about doing shows again, but right now...it's still just in the thought realm:)hehehe
