About Me

My photo
Sandpoint, Idaho, United States
I've been married to Chet for 26 years...we have two children together and Chet came into our marriage with two children! (all together, we have 2 girls and 2 boys!) 31, 29, 23 and 21 years old. Yikes! I can't believe I am old enough to have kids those ages! I was born in Louisiana where my Grandparents were cotton sharecroppers and I'm very proud of my cajun heritage. The photo above is my mother, Georgiana Smith Linde at 8 years old. She passed away when I was very young, but she carries on in my heart forever... My hubby supports my endless rabbit trails of creativity and he gets extra "points" for that! Thank you for visiting my swirly glittered- up world filled with paint, glass & ribbon...share the love...leave a comment! Email me! I'd love to hear from you! sharifrench@gmail.com

Happy Mother's Day!

A big shout out to all mothers out there...we are goddesses (quote from Kristen M.) one and all...
Especially to Nita and Mom Marilyn and Sandy and Joanne and my mother-in-law Barb, I'm really fortunate to have wonderful women in my life to offer advice and comfort and compansionship.
My son Tanner prepared breakfast for Gail and I this morning (hubby had to work at the restaurant serving up great food (www.jalapenossandpint.blogspot.com) for moms in Sandpoint. Jill couldn't make it over...but Gail and I enjoyed fruit salad and eggs and cinnamon rolls on the deck, watching and listening to the birds. The lake was glassy and gorgeous and we chatted about what we want to do for the rest of our lives. It might take a few more chats to figure it out....
Later, Tanner and I sat on the dock and I managed a few yoga moves to Tanner's amusement. He's a good son...I am so blessed to have such wonderful children..Kelsey called and sent a beautiful card....she even sent a thank you card to Chet and I for taking her to dinner and movies, etc during our recent visit to Boise! Wow! Just love that kid! Correction...young lady....
We are also thinking of you Pam, and know this is a difficult Mother's Day without your lovely mother, Yvonne. Yvonne was such a fun and wonderful woman and i am so lucky to have known her. I always thought of her as my "surrogate mother-in-law" even though I didn't marry her son! Close though....
Here are some photos of my beautiful Mother's Day morning...
